Butterfly Birthday Cards

Hello Again from Craft Chicks Australia!

Today we are showing you Little Chick’s favourite Butterfly Birthday Card design.

The two cards pictured above were both created using Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software, the Silhouette Cameo machine, an Epson XP-850 printer, and basic card & envelope sets you can find in any craft or $2 shop.  The basic card design was inspired by a Pin on Pinterest of a card from The Buzz Blog.

The first card was created in Silhouette Studio Designer Software, and used the Butterfly by Silhouette which is available in the Silhouette Online Store.  The other elements were designed by Little Chick using the Silhouette Studio Designer Software.  The circle features a digital paper, Vintage Love Letters, from ValerianeDigital Etsy Store.  The font used for Happy Birthday is Montez.  The black square outline, circle, butterfly and wording were all printed onto white cardstock and then cut as one square piece on the Silhouette Cameo, and the card assembled.  It was then “blinged” with a few gems added to the butterfly.  All-in-all, a very simple digitally created and crafted card.

The second card was again created in the Silhouette Studio Designer Software, and used the same Butterfly file by Silhouette. The other elements were designed by Little Chick using the Silhouette Studio Designer Software.  The circle again uses the same digital paper, Vintage Love Letters, and the same font, Montez, was used.  This time we created a layered card and cut the largest square out of black cardstock, then printed the circle and wording onto white cardstock and cut it on the Silhouette Cameo.  The fancy butterfly was also cut out of black cardstock.  The card was assembled and then “blinged” with gems being added to the butterfly and then manipulating the wings so they appear raised.

We hope you liked Little Chick’s Butterfly Birthday Card creations.

Bye for now,

Happy 47th Wedding Anniversary!

Hello Again from Craft Chicks Australia!

It was Big Chick’s 47th Wedding Anniversary on 1st July, so today’s cards are those made for this special occasion!

The first card was made by Big Chick to give to Mr Big Chick (Little Chick’s Dad, aka Greham) for their Wedding Anniversary.

This card was inspired by a Pin on Pinterest of a card available from PuppyLoveCreations Etsy Store.  It was created in Silhouette Studio Designer Software, and used the 2 Love Birds file by Lori Whitlock available from the Silhouette Store.  The other elements were designed by Little Chick using the Silhouette Studio Designer Software.  They were then cut on the Silhouette Cameo, and the card assembled.

The second card was made by Little Chick for her Dad to give to her Mum (aka Big Chick).

This card was inspired by many a Pin on Pinterest ... A Big Thank You to all those Pinners out there!  The topper was created in Serif Craft Artist 2 Professional Software using a digital element available in Fizzy Moon's WithFriends Digikit on Daisytrail.  The topper was then imported into the Silhouette Studio Designer Software.  All other elements were then created by Little Chick again using the Silhouette Studio Designer Software.  The elements were then cut on the Silhouette Cameo and assembled.  The card was then “blinged” by adding a cute little ribbon bow made on the Zutter Bow-It-All 2.0, and some self-adhesive diamond gems were added to the bunch of flowers.

The last card was made by Little Chick for Big Chick & Mr Big Chick for their Anniversary.

Again, this card was inspired by many Pins on Pinterest.  The topper was created in Serif Craft Artist 2 Professional Software using a free digital element available in the Be My Valentine Digikit available under Free Stuff on Daisytrail.  The topper was imported into the Silhouette Studio Designer Software, and the other elements created by Little Chick.  They were then cut on the Silhouette Cameo and assembled.  The card was then “blinged” by adding a ribbon and a bow made on the Zutter Bow-It-All 2.0, a piece of the same ribbon was added as a diagonal on one corner, and then some self-adhesive diamond gems added to the corner ribbon.

We hope you like our Anniversary Card creations.

Bye for now,
Little Chick & Big Chick :-)
